I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
HEY, IT'S OKAY....
.....to be happy I got to see my son over the weekend for lunch. We went to Texas Roadhouse and I ate my weight in rolls. You'll be pleased to know that he did vote.
.....to be extra anxious over the election results. It is nerve-wracking. Will a felon become president or will a sane woman?
......to be glad Natalie doesn't have school on Tuesday. A lot of campuses are voting spots so they just closed all schools. I know she's been saying many of her friends are worried about the results. A lot of them are in the LGBTQIA+ community, Natalie included, and they all want to be treated like human beings and not have their rights taken away.
......to have seen the Florence Pugh/Andrew Garfield movie We Live In Time with Natalie over the weekend. It was a sweet and sad movie. It's not filmed in order, but we were able to follow it and yes, we cried at the end. Select movie theaters are showing it, so be sure to watch! (And we got to meet Andrew Garfield a few years ago!)
....to think these Wicked friendship bracelet kits are awesome. My daughter and I play to see the Wicked movie, so we can make some of these and wear them when we go. They are only $5 and in the dollar spot at Target!
I’m bad I didn’t vote. I don’t keep up with all the political drama so I would have zero clue on who to even pick.
ReplyDeleteI’m glad you got to see your son. I was able to meet up with my oldest two weeks ago for lunch. He lives like 45 minutes from me.
Those Wicked set looks fun. I live in the UK and I'm surprised Trump was voted back in
ReplyDeleteWow! This wicked set is very nice and lovely to see in my eyes. I hope I get one.
ReplyDeleteI totally get the election anxiety too, it's a lot right now. I’m also so sad for marginalized communities, especially with everything on the line right now. On a happy note, those Wicked friendship bracelet kits sound so fun!
ReplyDeleteIt's a sad day today. Our oldest is away at college and called me up hysterical because them and most of their friends are a part of the LGBTQ+ community as well. I just don't get it.
ReplyDeletedefinitely not what we wanted. and like Jess, my oldest just called and talked to me and wondered how or why did this happen.. it is okay to talk this out with each other, including here in the blogging community..
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see Wicked. Those themed crafts are so cute! Sadly, the election did not go well...
