Seeing Julius Caesar by Shakespeare In High School

So, okay, William Shakespeare's plays are classics, but they can be rather, well, dull. He prattles on and on at times and I just want to shake him by his fluffy white neck thing and say, "Get to the POINT, sir!" He was the bane of my existence in High School, I tell ya, so when Natalie said she was auditioning for Julius Caesar I laughed and said, "Well played, sir." He knew I'd never escape him.

Julius Caesar is basically about this dude who got to powerful. The people around him got tired of it and well, he was murdered.

Dear, gracious.

Natalie got the part of Metellus Cimber. One of her parts was distracting Caesar by begging him to let his brother, who had been banished, return. Oh, that's her on the ground in the dress. You might be like, huh, where's the Roman garb? You can set the play in any time and they choose the 50s. And Metellus was an old dude and Natalie is, well, NOT..

And then she stabs Caesar who is like, "The eff?" Everyone else follows suit and then cheer happily that Caesar is dead. Huzzah!

Obviously you cannot go around stabbing people with no repercussions, so chaos ensues. People start unaliving themselves. There's Natalie kneeling down in shock when she discovers a deceased friend named Cassius.

There really is no happy ending. William Shakespeare must've been a fun man to be around, truly.

Natalie was thrilled that friends and family came to see her. Her Dad gave her a giant Snoopy from his job at Lowe's:

So are you a fan of Shakespeare?
