Could you survive if you were lost in the wilderness?
I'll be honest, I don't know if I could. I mean, maybe. I wouldn't want to just, you know, die. But I am not the best with outdoorsy stuff. I even have a sweatshirt that says Indoorsy. I'm like that episode of Spongebob where he sings, "Indoors, indoors, innnnndoorrss."
However, if I needed to survive, I think I could do it. I'd try.
Lost On A Mountain In Maine is an inspiring TRUE story that is out in theaters November 1st. It's about 12-year-old Donn Fendler who becomes separated from his family during a storm. Donn fights to stay alive for NINE DAYS in Northern Maine without having food and proper clothes. His story was a headline in the national news and hundreds of volunteers searched for him. This included his own father, who thought he'd never see his son again.
As I mentioned, this is based on a true story. This happened. I am looking forward to see how Donn survived. Maybe I'll get some tips if it ever happens to me. Plus, I always love a happy ending. This is based off a book written by Donn Fendler so I'll have to be sure to read that.
It's also produced by Sylvester Stallone. Rocky! Rambo! So you know it'll be good.
Lost On A Mountain In Maine arrives in theaters November 1st and is rated PG so it's a movie you can see with your family.

Two days ago I purchased https://mcdonaldpaper.com/safepro-60tbhd-17x15x53-inch-black-heavy-duty-trash-bags-50-cs/ bags for cleaning up after renovations and they were my best find. I would like to mention their size and durability - they are just perfect for handling heavy debris. Never once ripped, even when full of construction debris.
ReplyDeleteI love movies based on true stories. Thia is one that I need to watch.
ReplyDeleteThis is such an inspirational story. I agree with you when you said, "if I needed to survive, I think I could do it. I'd try."
ReplyDeleteI could only survive if I had supplies. Without supplies it would be so much harder. Especially since you can get sick drinking contaminated water. I guess if you ever go out in the wilderness take a life straw. Lol
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine the strength it took for a 12-year-old to survive that ordeal. I’ll definitely take my family to see it; we’re always looking for films that have a positive message.
ReplyDeleteI would also love to learn how Donn was able to survive. He was so young when this happened and I can't imagine myself being in this situation. I am sure this movie is going to be inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThis movie sounds very touching and inspirational! I wasn't aware of the book, nor the true life story that it's based on. I'll have to look for it in theaters.
ReplyDeleteWhat an inspirational story. We can see that all the character challenges helped him to grow and be mature enough.
ReplyDeleteSuch an inspiring movie and I am going to save the date to watch this movie.
