I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
HEY, IT'S OKAY....
.....to hope everyone who celebrates has a fabulous Halloween. My son will be at college and I know they pass out candy in some spots so he takes advantage of that. My daughter is going out with friends and I will be at home pigging out on Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
.....to be glad my daughter had a blast at Homecoming. She said they played good songs.
.....to be excited that the Wayans brothers are making Scary Movie 6. I always loved the Scary Movie franchise. My daughter and I quote them randomly "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?" and of course the "take my strong hand" from Scary Movie 2.
......to have enjoyed the book Honey by Isabel Banta. It's about Amber, who as a teen is "discovered" and put in a girl group called Cloud 9. She decides to go solo and has all sorts of adventures in the industry--and with Wes, who is part of a hugely popular boy band. It's set in the late 90s and early 2000s, so that made it extra fun for me.
It’s refreshing to see such honest reflections—especially about Halloween and indulging in those Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Your joy for these little life moments, like quoting Scary Movie with your daughter, makes this a cozy read and reminds us to embrace our quirks. Thanks for sharing this fun, heartfelt list!
ReplyDeleteI think I missed watching some of the scream movies. I’d love to watch all of them again. I couldn’t find them on the platforms that I have to watch tv on.
ReplyDeleteYour honesty and encouragement really resonate, especially in today’s busy world. Thank you for sharing these reassuring thoughts!
ReplyDeleteI am an Almond Joy person though Reese's is a close second for me! I am not a Scary Movie fan though my kids do enjoy them :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun idea! I love the chance to say, "Hey, it’s okay" and just embrace life’s little quirks.
ReplyDeleteWe waited for the kids yesterday so I can give them full size chocolates, but no one came 😕. Oh, I'd love to watch Scary Movie 6 😍.
ReplyDeleteEverything Enchanting ❤️
Honey sounds like an amazing book. I will have to add it to my reading list. Thaks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThis is a very heart warming reaction. The media is very catch, I really like the line of “hey, it’s okay.”
ReplyDeleteI am loving the sound go Honey and will be checking that book out for sure. Love the cover too.... pulled me in right away and love that it is 90's and early 2000's.... that makes it amazing! Thanks for the post....always love these so much!
