I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
HEY, IT'S OKAY....
....to hope Natalie and the cast & crew has a wonderful opening night of Julius Caesar on Thursday. She's playing Metellus.
.....to be a little sad that this is the final year I'll watch Natalie perform. She wants to go to college to be a Marine Biologist or at least work with animals in some capacity. She enjoys acting but knows it's a tough industry to succeed in.
.....to hope everyone in the west coast of Florida will be okay. I know there's a historic scary hurricane blowing in.
.....to still think Kody from Sister Wives is an ass. The new season has started and he's making all sorts of excuses on why he doesn't communicate with many of his kids. Dude, you're the adult.
.....to have loved the Chocolate Midnight pie from Edwards Desserts. If you're a chocoholic like I am, this is the pie for you. And great news: you can win a free pie! Edwards Desserts and Jason Biggs, who my generation knows as a pie fan, is giving away 25,000 slices of the Chocolate Midnight pie. Click here to enter and good luck! Also, hurry and enter as the last day is October 14th.
As our kids move on to their next phase of life, definitely a bittersweet moment.... And I know I would love the dessert too!
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting to read about your list of it's okay with and a great post idea indeed, can totally relate with kids leaving home for college not easy at all but that's life. The pie sure does look tempting!
ReplyDeleteThat pie looks so good. I know that my family will like this for dessert.
ReplyDeleteI love the Edward’s pies. They are delicious.
ReplyDeleteI went thru hurricane floyd when I lived in North Carolina. It was a category 5 hurricane coming in. Think it landed somewhere near Wilmington. I lived in Jacksonville in a mobile home. We had to evacuate. Thankfully, no damage. But the flooding inland was disastrous. I’m hoping for Florida this time that it reduces in strength and the storm surge/flooding isn’t horrendous. I feel for the people there.
I can totally relate to feeling a mix of pride and sadness when watching our kids pursue their passions and prepare for the next big steps in life.
ReplyDeleteI love these posts so much and I am also saying prayers for everyone in Florida. I have some family there and lots of really good friends including my best friend. I love that your daughter wants to work with animals... mine has always wonted to work with animals too as a vet although now she may do nursing now. I also.... have to get a slice of that Edwards pie ;) So good!
ReplyDeleteEdwards does make some great pies. That looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI have a senior as well, and it is very bittersweet too.
