I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
HEY, IT'S OKAY....
....to be glad that Natalie had a good first day of senior year. Waking up early was probably tough, but she did it.
.....to be moving Tommy into his college dorm on Wednesday. I will miss him, but he's only about 25 minutes away, so I still get to see him at least once a month for lunch.
......to hate that it's been so hot. It'll be in the triple digits the next few days and I'm over it. We even have a heat advisory.
.....to have tried out CosMcs--it's a part of McDonald's, but it only sells drinks, snacks, and ice cream. Apparently their ice cream machine is always working. I'll have a review up this week!
.....to miss Tommy when he's back in college. We've been watching Parks & Recreation together and are on season 4. We both promised we'd wait until he visits to watch. It's our first time watching the show. We've heard of it, of course, but never watched. It's on Peacock if you want to laugh. It reminds us of The Office. I had to get him this Ron Swanson shirt (he's a character on the show.) You can get it on Amazon here:
I just looked up CosMcs because I didn't know what it was. I really wish that were in my area. Those drinks look so good.
ReplyDeleteI need to go try CosMcs. We have one pretty close but I haven’t had the opportunity to go yet. I’ll have to check their hours. Maybe I can go Thursday.
ReplyDeleteOne of my sons really loves Parks and Rec. He'd probably really like a shirt like that too, thanks for the link drop!
ReplyDeleteWOW, I can't believe you have already moved Tommy into his dorm, seems like summer is flying by. I haven't heard of CosMcs before, I need to check and see if we have one close by.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to those bittersweet moments—moving all three of girls into college was such a mix of pride and missing them.
ReplyDeleteWe will be empty nesters pretty soon (a month from now).. and need to figure out how to deal with it.. but until then, it is definitely ok to savor all the moments we have with them
