We have Sea World about 10 minutes from our house, so we're there often. We're also Pass Members! They have a Pass Members Appreciation Day, so of course we had to check it out.
Yeah, my daughter said the sun was too bright in her face to have her eyes open and when I asked if we could take the photo again, she grunted out, "No." I didn't want to rock the Tween Attitude, so I let it go.
Then we checked the map to figure out where we had to go. This can be tricky, because my daughter and I are pretty awful at reading maps.
Luckily there were signs so we knew we were headed in the right direction.
Basically we got a cinch backpack, a lanyard, and cupcakes! Plus there were other deals like 30% off animal swims, camps, and 50% quick queue and reserved seating.
Also, Sesame Street characters showed up. There were also animal ambassadors around. If you wore your lanyard, you had a chance of winning stuff for that day as well. We didn't, but we were only there about an hour.
After that, we decided to explore the park to see what was new. You could tell areas had been painted. Natalie noticed Steel Eel got a paint job. She asked if I wanted to go on it with her, and I was like, "Nope!" because roller coasters frighten me.
Plus, there are Sesame Street weekends. I might be a grown woman, but Sesame Street will always have a soft spot in my heart. I'm seriously debating checking out the dinner with Elmo and Friends. Natalie already said she'd do it with me.
Also, there's a new ride! Super Grover's Box Car Derby that replaced the Shamu Coaster.
We're excited to check out Turtle Reef as well when it opens in May.
Natalie always has to go into the stores:
Oh, and we met Big Bird! He was my favorite muppet growing up. I watched Follow That Bird SO many times. The songs are amazing in that movie. Go to YouTube and look up the Oscar the Grouch anthem. You won't be disappointed.
There's a new drop slide coming to Aquatica in March that Natalie can't wait to try. Again, I'm too much of a chicken:
No trip to Sea World is complete without a funnel cake:
So there's lots of excitement coming to Sea World. We'll be back soon, I'm sure. I already promised Natalie I'd bring her to Aquatica during Spring Break. Normally I let her run around while I relax in the chairs with book. I just tell her to scream if someone tries to take her.
What Sesame Street character is YOUR favorite?
Never been to sea world. There is 1 not to far from us but it’s summer here in Oz so waiting for it to cool down a little first
