I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
Hey, It's Okay....
....to hope my daughter did okay at her audition. She auditioned yesterday for Mary Poppins Jr. She tends to get incredibly nervous.
....to be glad that it's been cooler. I'll take the 80 degree temperatures, thanks!
....to be going to Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld this weekend. We always have a lot of fun there. My daughter loves dressing up in her costume.
....to be glad that all the shows are starting back up. I was running out of things to watch. I'm recording so many, including Manifest, which looks awesome.
....to have asked Tommy if he wanted to go to his Homecoming, and he went, "No way!" He's never gone to any of his school dances. Also, it's weird that kids are calling Homecoming HoCo. That's weird and needs to stop.

That is so weird that they are calling it HoCo! I hate abbreviations like that. It's just odd.
ReplyDeleteI agree, and it isn't sounds cool. They should consider changing it soon.
Deleteyes to the cooler weather I have been expecting it to cool off and agree with you on the shows starting back up. agreee with the hoco... for homecoming not cool. did she end up getting the part?
ReplyDeleteIt’s spring here in Brisbane and the weather is only gonna start getting hotter and hotter so YEP - that cooler weather is a defo yes
ReplyDeleteThat face on Tommy says it all about those dances, I so agree with him about school dances.
ReplyDeleteWe just had our Homecoming last weekend, guess there were tons of kids who decided not to go to the dance this year. HoCo is just wrong.
ReplyDeleteEeps! I am so excited to hear about how your daughter's audition went!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, I love it! How would I participate, do I just click the 'submit link' button?
ReplyDeleteI hope your daughters audition went very well! That would be an exciting play to do! I am also excited that it is getting below hundred degrees where I live!
ReplyDeleteI saw a sign that said "HoCo" the other day on Facebook, and I thought, "What on earth is that?" Haha! Things like that make me feel old.
ReplyDeleteI hope that your daughter got the part. Its really a nice idea, I liked it very much.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I absolutely love this idea! We need more positive attitudes in this world!
ReplyDeleteI think it's weird as well that they call it HoCo. I hope she gets the spot that she auditioned for.
ReplyDeleteI hope your daughter got the part she auditioned for. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, the weather is definitely starting to cool down...hello fall (my favorite time of year).
I hope she gets the part she auditioned for. I loved Mary Poppins, glad to hear they are doing it in school.
ReplyDeleteI love this! It is strange to call Homecoming that. I have not come across that one yet. What's funny is I told my son yesterday It was ok to have braces. He thinks getting braces yesterday and being in middle school is the worst!
ReplyDeleteI love that it's getting cooler outside now. I am so over the 90 degree days. Bring on the hot drinks!
ReplyDeleteI already miss summer! I feel like fall just goes way too fast. I miss being outside and getting lots of sunshine.
ReplyDeleteHomecomings are always fun. Some go with dates some go with friends. Just have fun.
ReplyDeleteI wish our weather would get cooler. I'm so ready for fall.
ReplyDeleteI like slightly cooler weather, but not too cold. Eighty degrees is perfect for me!
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky, it is still over 90 degrees in Miami.
ReplyDeleteI recorded Manifest - I can't wait to watch it! Too funny about HoCo! We had an old prison here in the area called Detroit House of Corrections. They called it DeHoCo.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I love HoCo! My work town is called CoMo for Columbia, Missouri. I watched the first Manifest. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteWhen did homecoming become HoCo? That sounds very Aussie to shorten everything! I'm feeling the exact opposite about the weather. It's finally spring so I'm ready for some warm weather after a super cold winter.
ReplyDeleteI seriously love your It's Okay series! I hope your daughter did well at her audition and got the role she wanted.
ReplyDeleteI love these kind of posts of yours. Kind of a gratitude list or a positive affirmation. It's okay to be the way we are. Loved this. I hope your daughter gets the part :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with the whole HOCO thing...I noticed it a few years ago and had NO IDEA what kids were talking about!! Just go back to saying Homecoming...HA
ReplyDeleteI am happy that it's a bit cooler where I live as well. The temperature has been in the high 30C lately and today finally there is a cloudy cooler day.
ReplyDeleteHomecoming is HoCO? haha first time I have heard of it. There are so many terms that the young ones have already coined.
ReplyDeleteI watched the first episode of Manifest. It was good!
ReplyDeleteHOCO, that is new to me! But, yeah the youngins have so many different words these days. Hard to keep up!
ReplyDeleteDid she end up getting the part? I am sure she did. Even if she didn't - its ok! :-)
ReplyDeletehahaha, HoCo. I just can't with that one.
ReplyDeleteWe had yesterday so cold we needed heat. Today is SO muggy. Ugh. Just give me a crisp sunny day already.
I too am glad to see the cooler weather moving in. I no longer need to sweat to do anything!
ReplyDeleteWould love and update on how your daughter's audition went -- Mary Poppins, Jr. --- Cool! Interesting way to structure your blog post.
ReplyDeleteHope everything falls into its own place!! Good luck to your daughter! And stay happy!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post! I am glad it is cooler a well, I don't really care for the hot and humid, summer temperature. Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteI am okay didn't get much sleep these last few days because I'm in Italy. And some good food will make it all better. lol
ReplyDeleteLove these! I am so excited for cooler weather!
ReplyDeleteOhh. good luck on Natalie's audition. Also, I would love to know the updates of her audition. I also wonder why its cold homecoming, haha. Maybe Tom would change his mind then.
ReplyDeleteWhy does it matter if kids call it "HoCo"? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's "weird" and "needs to stop." Your literally just said in your last post how your daughter's costume is nobody else's business and if someone doesn't like it they can carry on. I suggest you practice what you preach and do the same. Don't be so judgemental.
