But we managed.
And she was able to pick out some cute and affordable items.
We found these shirts at Kohls (on sale with a 30% off coupon on top of that!)
(Most outfits will be paired with her Adidas shoes. She's weirdly been obsessed with Adidas stuff.)
Natalie has been wearing Gymboree since she was a baby, and many pieces go up to size 14 now! She picked out this shirt that says "No Bad Days." She went extra "stripey" with these skinny jeans.
She loves overalls, so she picked these out!
She LOVES accessories, so she picked out these glasses at Claire's.
Justice is one of Natalie's favorite stores, so she found several options there, all on sale! (Many at least 50% off, or from a sale online.)
Please pardon the blue swimsuit she had on underneath. After the photo shoot, we headed for the pool since it's incredibly hot in Texas.
Now, Natalie LOVES this next outfit, but the dress code at her school is bizarre: no leggings if they don't have pockets. However, I think she could still wear the above outfits, because the leggings are paired with oversized shirts. I think.
These dress codes are getting out of control and it stinks that girls seem to be dealing with the brunt of it all because apparently boys can't handle seeing leggings without pockets. Or something.
I don't know about you, but I would think this would be appropriate for school. But because the pants don't have pockets. she can't wear them. Bizarre. Still. She'll wear it when she's home and can wear the shirt to school at least.
Obviously I get that she can't wear the hat to school. She can wear it on Hat Day!
The next outfit will be perfect when it cools down.
It's an oversized cropped sweatshirt, so she'll be wearing a tank top underneath.
Are your kids back in school?
Aw, she looks so cute. I will definitely share these with my little niece and see what she says.
ReplyDeleteShe looks very cute! I'm surprised Adidas is still so popular among tweens! I remember them being popular when I was also that age. When my daughter reaches that age I wonder if that will still be the case.
ReplyDeleteShe looks very cute and also I love her sense of style. There is something sober about it which really is something to applaud
ReplyDeleteIt is really nice to see girls wearing the comfy outfit such as tee, jeans and addidas shoes to school. Over here in Asia, the kids wear uniform and can be quite boring. I like how you paired the outfits super cute and the little model is really good in front of the camera. Look so natural.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter has a great sense of style. All of her outfits are so cute! I can't get the past the school code of not being able to wear leggings without pockets. None of my leggings have pockets. That is way weird.
ReplyDeleteThat's odd that the school rules mention leggins without pockets as not being allowed. I understand if there are see-through leggins that are very, very tight, but the ones your daughter is wearing look more like pants than leggings.
ReplyDeleteVery cute outfits! I love the stay magical one. Maybe the school thinks leggins can't be too tight if they have pockets?
ReplyDeleteI would allow my daughter to wear all of these outfits. Natalie did wonderful choosing her style and what she likes. Every outfit looks great. I appreciate her own style show for us.
ReplyDeleteI love her choice of clothes! Very fashionable yet age- appropriate. :) Beautiful and comfortable clothes definitely help boost one's confidence.
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable and could be a model. As for Kohl's I love shopping there for my son although I didn't make it to it this year. So I need to go soon. As for her shoes I my family likes that brand as well along with Skechers.
ReplyDeleteAll of her choices are absolutely wonderful. It is hard to find appropriate clothes especially for girls nowadays. Everything that she found is just perfect. You can tell she loves them and they fit her personality.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so adorable in those outfits. I had the same weird obsession with Adidas in my teenage. He clothes looks really comfortable and very appropriate.
ReplyDeleteI love the glasses and overalls look! I like all these options. They are all really cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the stay humble stay original shirt! I don't remember our dress code being this strict, then again leggings weren't really a thing back then.
ReplyDeleteShe looks adorable and definitely age appropriate. She looks like she could concentrate at school and not worry if her clothes were covering all of her!
ReplyDeleteHer back to school outfits is too cute and fashionable. My favorite is the Eiffel Tower Tee. The color is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI think the last outfit is my favorite. These outfits resemble what I used to wear to middle school!
ReplyDeleteI agree that the girl's dress codes are getting way out of hand. Her looks are fantastic! My 10 year old is a tall girl with a long torso and has outgrown the kids department, so that adds an extra dose of challenge when BTS shopping. Our middle school has just put a no tank top rule and shorts must have a 5" inseam rule in effect this school year. We're in Central CA where the temps remain well over 100* until at least October.
ReplyDeleteAll of her choices are absolutely wonderful. She is adorable and could be a model. The last one is the best
ReplyDeleteWe used to shop at Justice all the time! My girls loved their clothing and accessories. Miss those days!
ReplyDeleteShe looks terrific in all of her outfits shown there, very comfortable and stylish and totally appropriately dressed.
ReplyDeleteThank you! She looks great and all of those outfits are great. I see too many young girls dressed like they shouldn't be dressed.
ReplyDeleteShe's so pretty! I love her style, it's simple and perfect for school. It's nice to pick outfits that suits your personal style and that makes you feel comfortable at the same time as well.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see her personal style show more! She's definitely growing up. Love that her clothes are up to date, stylish and very comfy for school!
ReplyDeleteThose overalls are so perfect! They look great on her and I love the wash of them.
ReplyDeleteNatalie's choices are so elegant and classy. She sure has an eye for subtle shades and pleasing colours. It must have been fun shopping with her for the back-to-school outfits.
ReplyDeleteI love your daughter's corky personality. It must be fun to be around her every time.
ReplyDeleteI think you are managing more than just fine with all the outfits! So much choice and combo she can do! They all look great!
ReplyDeleteThese are the cutest outfits and she looks great in all of them! I can't wait to take my grand daughter shopping for clothes.
ReplyDeleteAll these outfits are so cute and so perfect for a girl of her age. I have a daughter that has the same age and it will be fun to go shopping for some new otfits like these!
ReplyDeleteGreat selections of clothing! They look so comfortable and I think they're really cute outfits. Looks good on her!
ReplyDeleteShe’s a cutie! Those clothes are very cute and look super comfy. My kids all go back to school next Tuesday! I’m literally counting down the hours.
ReplyDeleteWow! I like the outfit of your daughter back to school is really fun and enjoyment. she's so beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteShe looks really cute! Especially loved the denim jacket! Unfortunately we had uniforms in schools.
ReplyDeleteShe's absolutely adorable! Love all of the outfits, especially that black shirt with the Jacket. Best of luck for this coming school year cutie :)
ReplyDeleteTees, jeans and some Adidas sneakers can be so comfy . She looks so cute and I'm so sure she's so happy to get back to school.
ReplyDeleteI love all her outfit especially the cropped sweatshirt. For me, leggings are okay as long as they are wearing long shirts.
ReplyDeleteWe're back tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love her choices. It's amazing that in some photos, you can still see the young girl and in others - you see the teenager she'll be in a few years.
What a cutie! Mmmm
