I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple! Please do not link up a post that has nothing to do with Hey, It's Okay. It's rude and I'll delete the link.
Hey, It's Okay....
....to have not watched the Oscars. I tend to see the best parts on E! News the next night.
....to be staying put for Spring Break next week. Last year we were at Disney World. *Sniffles* (But we're going in October!)
....to be glad my son had a great 16th birthday on Friday! We just had a family party and he got new video games and some tech-y stuff that I don't even understand.
....to hope people RSVP to Natalie's birthday party. She passed out invitations, and now we wait and see. So many people don't bother to RSVP these days. (Yup, I have two kids with March birthdays.)
....to have taken some Stranger Things themed photos for my daughter's 11th birthday. Here's one of them:
(She LOVES the show!)
I am so glad that Tommy had a wonderful 16th birthday!!!! :)
ReplyDelete2 in March? BB feels your pain. Got 2 in June- which also has my grandmother's bday and Father's Day. Hope both of your children have stellar bdays. BB2U
ReplyDeleteWe aren't going anywhere for spring break. Waiting until April to head out. I won't watch any of the awards shows anymore.
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch the Oscars either. I couldn't care less. And Disney in October is the BEST! We go in August usually, but at the end of the month so the Halloween decorations are usually up.
ReplyDeleteI never watch those award shows - boring and predictable. I have such a pet peeve concerning those who don't bother to RSVP. It only takes a minute of their time.
ReplyDeleteI like the concept of hey its ok as it gives you something to be grateful. The stranger things inspired photos looks so cool.
ReplyDeleteGlad your son had a lovely birthday at home. It's really nice when it's just family. I hope Natalie's birthday is a blast. Love the theme that she picked! I'm sure it's going to be amazing!
ReplyDeleteHey It's Okay... Is my favourite feature in Glamour, I always head straight for it. I know exactly what you mean about the RSVP's for a party, we handed out invites two weeks ago for my daughters birthday this Saturday and I have had 5 RSVP when there were 30 invites handed out, they have told her they are coming but I would like parents to confirm for my own peace of mind x
ReplyDeleteI hope your son enjoyed his birthday. I didn't watch the Oscars either, i tend to avoid most of those awards shows.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't able to watch the Oscars either but I know the winners and all that from the news, lol. Awesome theme for Natalie's party, I'm sure she's pretty stoked about that. I hope people RSVP though. I hate to guess who's coming and who isn't.
ReplyDeleteFun to have two birthdays in a row!
ReplyDeleteWe threw an OSCAR PARTY at our place - but honestly, it's more to just have friends comes over and hang out versus actually watching. I think I watched the first hour then gave up - my attention span is NIL and the movies in the Oscars this year 10000% sucked.
ReplyDeleteI thought about watching the Oscars... but then I realized that I would must rather curl up with a book and read. That is wonderful that Tommy had a great birthday party! Two of my boys have birthdays in April :)
ReplyDeleteI usually never watch award shows anymore, just because they seem a lot more political than they ever used to be. It is fun to see the highlights the next night. So I do the same thing as you do.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter's birthday is in March as well! I wish more people would RSVP because I have NO idea how many goodie boxes to get.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a wonderful time with family. I love Stranger Things too! Awesome show.

Totally ok to stay put for Spring Break! Especially if that means you can go to Disney later this year! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteLovely idea! I find actually that I never get to watch the Oscars...
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your kiddos from a fellow Pisces. Our busy month is October with my son, mom, aunt, and grandfather. Phew!
ReplyDeleteHands up I didn't watch the Oscars either, in fact I didn't even know they were on until the next day whoops! lol.
ReplyDeleteI am wither her on the Stranger Things. That show is so amazing.
ReplyDeleteI really love this series on your blog. I also don't watch the OScars. I just don't care enough about any of that.
ReplyDeleteHow cool! Are you going to do some pics with Christmas lights? Happy Birthday to your kiddos! Hope you get some RSVPs, would be nice to be able to plan ahead. I've never watched an award show and probably never will.. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear that he enjoyed his birthday!! I have yet to get into Stranger Things though lol
ReplyDeleteI rarely watch award shows! I usually catch highlights and fashion mentions in articles the next day instead.
ReplyDeleteGlad he has a wonderful birthday! Bet he had a blast!

ReplyDeleteI watch the Oscar's on E the next day as well. I get really bored with the whole event.
