I got this idea from Glamour magazine. You can link up any day of the week. All you have to do is make a list of what you're okay about. Simple!
Hey, It's Okay....
--To have not watched the Golden Globes. It's not really my thing.
--To have gone into the library expecting to only check out two books--but left with six!
--To be happy the kids have Monday off school. I get to sleep in! But at the same time, then I have to deal with the chaos when I wake up. Balls.
--To hope Tommy does well on his final exams. They are the end of this week. He's been studying.
--To have already purchased some Valentine's candy--and eaten it.
--To try really hard to get 10000 steps on my Fitbit every day--otherwise I feel lazy. But some days I feel like being lazy.
--To be ready for This Is Us to return. Is Toby dead?
--To have made this because it's true. But I still do like 90% of the cooking. Ugh.

I'm sure Tommy will do great! :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best to Tommy.
ReplyDeleteFit bit steps and already eaten valentines candy! LOL yes the struggle is real <3 Tommy will do amazing I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteI really like this post! There are a lot of things in life that we need to be okay with. This put things into perspective for me.

Yes, it's OK! I haven't watched the Golden Globes either. Netflix for me!!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Tommy! And Golden Globes? Oh yeah, they were this weekend... Love that meme! Now that the BF is back in NZ, I don't have someone cooking for me. HAHA BOOOO
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Tommy, I am sure he will do great. I was looking at some Valentine's chocolate that I want to by myself and eat them before the day
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know the Golden Globes were on until I checked my Twitter and saw all the tweets. Everyone has their own thing. Like I always say, "you do you."
ReplyDeleteGreat post! The Golden Globes aren't my thing either! Wishing Tommy lots of luck for his exams! Also, I love that you have bought and eaten V-day candy, that's such a me thing to do too. Nikki x

Me too! I've never watched any of Golden Globes.. but I can't help reading the updates flashing on my FB feeds.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I need to jump on board the "This is Us" train. I think I'd love it. I'm not into award shows either, but I really love Jimmy Fallon, so I just had it playing in the background while I tidied up the place!
ReplyDeleteSo happy This Is Us is coming back tonight! I kept thinking yesterday was Tuesday and looking to watch it!
ReplyDeleteThis just made me smile, thank you for it! We're all humans and this just proves! It's ok to do anything we want! :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband got me some Valentine's candy a few days ago and I have totally eaten some!
ReplyDeleteI also missed the Golden Globes but no shame. Can't wait for Valentines day!
ReplyDeleteHaha, this is so much fun! I think I'll be participating too! xD

I really get sick of awards shows. No matter how much they pat themselves on the back, the movies still suck. Captain America Civil War made a shit ton of money, so take that LaLa Land. HAHAHA
ReplyDeleteIf I could, I'd buy valentines candy for myself year round. Sadly, I haven't bought any yet ths year. :(
ReplyDeleteI do the grocery store like you do the library. My kids always give me plenty of cloth bags when we shop.
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree about This is Us.. currently addicted!
ReplyDeleteI have six books ready for me at the library! I think I went overboard!
ReplyDeleteI didn't see the Golden Globes except for Viola Davis' and Meryl Streep's speeches.
So, I hope Tommy does great in his exams, routing for him! I watched the Golden Globes :-) and yes I am with you, waiting on the return of "This is Us" (I was bummed out, that it did not win the golden globe award though)
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for not watching the Golden Globes. Award shows aren't my thing either - I never watch them.
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched the Golden Globes either, but it's because I live abroad for now. That same reason has prevented me from watching This Is Us because it doesn't work online outside of the U.S. But hey, it's ok :)
ReplyDeleteOh I have a fitbit too and it is ok not to always get 10,000 a day, because some days it's not ideal!

I love this post! I didn't watch the Golden Globes too. I really enjoyed the pictures of the gowns though.
ReplyDeleteOhh goodness... I havent stayed up on This is US so I can't comment but, I too missed the Golden Globes and never go to the library with such low expectations of my book count.
ReplyDeleteI really love reading your, "HEY, IT'S OKAY," posts. The cooking part made me laugh. To be honest I hate cooking. I do it because I have to not because I like doing it.
ReplyDeleteSame thing here, never watch Golden Globes but I am always checking on the red carpet dresses especially the ranking of the best and worst dressed. lol
ReplyDeleteI love to see what the ladies wear to the award shows. My friend is obsessed with her fitbit. I may have to get one lol. I do the same thing in the target and sometimes walmart what you do in the library. I have been waiting on This Is Us to come back too. I hope he is not dead.
ReplyDeleteI'm so craving Valentine's candy right now. I'm cracking up over the other stuff.
ReplyDeleteHaha, this made me chuckle. I'm ready for This is Us to return as well! And I am still chowing down on all the Christmas candy I bought and it is OK.
ReplyDeleteI also try to walk at least 10,000 steps to make my day meaningful! Otherwise I too feel lazy!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea for a post. I can't imagine actually leaving the library with only two books, I'm always weighed down with at least five or six, if not more. I really have to start watching This is Us, I keep hearing everyone rave about it. I'm so behind on watching TV shows!
ReplyDeleteGood luck Tommy.love the post. I can relate to being happy the kids have Monday off..just for a lie in. But hate dealing with what the off day brings!
ReplyDeletei need some hey it's ok today- getting stressed about starting blogs etc up again post xmas and new year!
ReplyDeleteI missed the Golden Globes as well! I like days when school is out because I have more time to clean at home and just do more of the things that need to be done, but I also don't like the idea of the kids missing school.
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch the Golden Globes either, but I did catch the opening video on Facebook. It was pretty funny. I am not looking forward to my kids having the day off, lol. It means I have to entertain them, ugh.
ReplyDeleteI hope Tommy does amazing on his exams! I'm sure he'll be okay, especially since he's been studying for it. I haven't watched a single episode of This Is Us, I've heard it's awesome though. ---Marceline Dementori
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that they were even on. I know that sounds crazy in today's society to not know when there was going to be a show featuring so many celebrities.
ReplyDeleteI do that EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to the library - you're not alone! And I don't watch the Golden Globes.. because I don't even know any of the movies that are up for awards. But I DO tune in to all the gossip sites to see what everyone's wearing haha!
ReplyDeleteOMG that is so me. Or when I'm online putting books in my queue for holds. I go in to put one in there and then an hour later there's like 547. Oops.
ReplyDeleteSOOOOOOOO with you about the Golden Globes. I used to be a HEAVY entertainment reporter, would go to these types of events, red carpets, etc, etc, etc... But now, I barely watch tv, let alone these types of shows - and I don't care AT ALL! My whole attitude towards entertainment reporting and what not has totally changed! Now, I would never pass up a paying entertainment reporting gig - ha, but I would much prefer to just do my own thing... IE: my blog and YouTube channel! ;)
ReplyDeleteI've never watched the golden globes and don't plan to! I love what you said about the chocolate candy. I might buy a box and eat it by myself this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe Golden Globes is not my thing either! Hahaha, it's funny because I have eaten some Valentine's candy too.
ReplyDeletewww.gregdemcydias.com
lol on eating the Valentine's Day candy. I just bought clearance Chrsitmas candy and ate it. ;)
ReplyDeletei loveee that show. i started watching a litte late, butonce i did it was over. lol
ReplyDeleteAhh I needed this right now. It's ok for me to feel sad once in a while like today :(
ReplyDeleteSo glad This is Us is back! I don't watch awards shows.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Tommy!
ReplyDeleteI think I can relate so many things listed here to my ideas too. Particularly the first thing that I did already is eating Valentine's candy right away without waiting much and the Golden Globes does not bother me much as well!
ReplyDeletei'm disable so i never get my 10,000 steps lol. i do however love award season, mainly to see what people are wearing
ReplyDeleteGood luck Tommy! And I love the magic words about making dinner LOL I'm so thankful my husband actually likes doing this!

ReplyDeleteWhen things gets a little rough, I like to tell myself "hey, it's okey" haha.
ReplyDeleteMy brother was buy me a Valentines candy and a I got eaten few days ago lol, looks my stress reliever in the past few days
ReplyDeleteOh I love this post! IM OKAY by not claiming my giveaway prizes since the pick up location is too far from our place. Lols.
