Hi, I'm Amber, and I'm addicted to pumpkin spice things.
If I see something pumpkin spice flavored, I MUST purchase it.
So if you've ever been curious about pumpkin spice things, this is the post for you. I've reviewed most of the pumpkin spice foods currently on the shelves. I bought so many that I'll have a Part 2 coming soon. But for now, here is what I've tried so far.
1. Hostess Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes
I like these. But I don't. Confused? Me too. The first bite is okay--but then the pumpkin spice taste seems overpowering. I wouldn't buy another box.
2. Little Debbie Pumpkin Rolls.
Amazing. I could eat 4 of them in one sitting. I won't, because I need my pants to button. The cream was perfectly sweet. The pumpkin bit was delicious. Together? They make for a fantastic treat. Or lunch, if you're too lazy to make lunch.
3. Pumpkin Spice Oreos
I forgot to take my own photo of these because I ate them too quickly. Great flavor. Crunchy. Sort of like a pumpkin pie in cookie form.
4. Pumpkin Spice Peeps.
Interesting. Chewy. Dipped in white fudge so you get an added treat. My favorite is still the original flavor, but these make for a fun change.
5. Hammond's Pumpkin Spice Bar.
I believe this can only be purchased at Target. If you like chocolate and pumpkin spice, this is the treat for you. I didn't taste a lot of the pumpkin spice though--I mostly tasted the dark chocolate with a bit of pumpkin spice.
6. Pumpkin Spice Mini Wheats.
These made me wish I liked milk. I eat them plain, because milk is ick to me. You can eat these and pretend you are making a healthier choice because, hey, wheat!
7. Ben & Jerry's Pumpkin Cheesecake.
There are graham swirls mixed in. My mother would call this "decadent." I'm a fan. But be careful: it'll be gone before you realize it. Tip: don't check the calories. Pretend it doesn't suggest a serving size for 4.
8. Pumpkin Spice Cream Frappuccino.
I don't like coffee, so I get my pumpkin spice treat cream based. The first sip always tastes weird, probably because Starbucks uses REAL pumpkin now. (Thanks, Food Babe.) But then my tongue must get used to the real pumpkin, because the odd flavor goes away and it's back to the fantastic flavor I remember.
9. Philadelphia Pumpkin Spice Spread with Pumpkin Spice English Muffins.
I'd eat the whole thing with just a spoon if I could. Wait. I'm an adult. I could if I wanted to. But I won't. Maybe I will. Let's see how this week finishes out. It's delicious spread on toast. Bagels. Candy bars. English Muffins, which smell superb, and taste even better.
10. Hostess Pumpkin Spice Donettes.
My daughter tried to take these from me because she enjoyed them so much. But I'm bigger so I took them back. Maybe I'll share a few more. Maybe.
11. Pumpkin Spice Mallows.
I'd only get one package of these. They are good, don't get me wrong, but I'd rather eat a pumpkin spice roll, ice cream, or donette. Make hot chocolate and add these for a twist!
12. Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses.
If you're trying to ward off a sweet tooth so you won't eat the pumpkin cheesecake ice cream, donettes, and the rolls in one sitting, these are a smart choice. Pop one in your mouth and you get the pumpkin spice taste. If you have willpower, this will be enough. If you do not, thank goodness for the pumpkin cheesecake ice cream.
Do you like pumpkin spice stuff?
If so, what has been your favorite treat so far?

I have to admit that every single one of those foods looked and sounded disgusting except for the ice cream. I think that I am just not a proper white girl because I don't go nuts for pumpkin-laden everything! :-)
ReplyDeleteGood lord woman. If I ate all that pumpkin, I'd be in the bathroom all day! Lol.
ReplyDeleteI do not enjoy pumpkin spiced foods for the most part. I make pumpkin chocolate chip waffles and a pumpkin pudding pie but that's about it. I more like the smell of pumpkin spice than the taste.
ReplyDeleteI really wish I liked pumpkin spiced foods, I just can't get into it.
ReplyDeleteYES! Now I know what to try and what not to try! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find the Pumpkin Spiced Kisses?? Cannot find them :(
ReplyDeleteTarget!
DeleteThank you! :)
DeletePlease excuse me while I run out and buy pumpkin spice oreos and pumpkin spice cream cheese... yum!
ReplyDeleteNice lineup! I have been curious about the Hammond's chocolate bars and I'm going to Target later today, so YAY. I want to try the OREOs too.
ReplyDeleteI'm weird because I'm obsessed with pumpkin, but like, actual pumpkin. Weird, right? Like I can eat it out of the can or baked into a stew. Or in coffee. I know you're not a fan of that!
I don't think I would eat any of these. But I'm also not a big pumpkin fan. I'll eat it... but I don't go out of my way for it.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I have missed most of these - I've only tried the oreos and they were pretty good. The donuts look so good though!
ReplyDeleteAs if I did not have enough reasons already to pray that the greeks will finally start celebrating Halloween. They look fantastic all of them!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the pumpkin spice review of foods. So far this year I've had a Pumpkin Spice Steamer (sans coffee) and it was tasty. I broke down and bought the entenmann's pumpkin spice donuts and I was very disappointed, they just tasted like regular old fashion donuts with very little pumpkin flavor at all. I've had some pumpkin pie in the sky ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery and it was delicious, as I knew it would be. However I was not a fan of the pumpkin cheesecake ice cream at Baskin Robbins, the gingerbread cookie crumbs in it was overpowering. I totally want to try the pumpkin rolls, and cream cheese spread now, YUM! I was wary of the Oreo's, but after your review I may give them a try. So much pumpkin spice goodness out there, I wish I could try it all, thanks for doing it for me!
ReplyDeleteYes, the Oreos are fantastic! I did not try those donuts yet. The pumpkin pie blizzard at Dairy Queen was tasty by the way. I forgot to mention that one.
DeleteI'm in Australia and we get NOTHING pumpkin spice. Life is so unfair sometimes.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I'm impressed with your commitment to pumpkin!! I am feeling very left out of the whole pumpkin season, I definitely would kill for some Little Debbie and the Hershey Kisses. Hmm, I should see if Ben & Jerry's has their pumpkin cheesecake flavor here... Hmmmm I'll be right back..
ReplyDeleteThose little debbie pumpkin rolls look AMAZING. Uh.. may be hunting those down tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteyes, yes i do enjoy pumpkin spice. but i love the scent the best.

ReplyDeleteI am not really too crazy about pumpkin spice. However, that cupcake and the rolls look sooo yummy!!
ReplyDeleteAbby of Life in the Fash Lane
Its been a very long time since I ate anything with pumpkin spice.. I think its time to try out again.
ReplyDeleteHow can I consider myself a pumpkin spice and never had any of these? I gotta get my pumpkin spice game up!
ReplyDeleteI have not seen so many pumpkin things to eat! We are not big on pumpkins here and Halloween has only recently been introduced into the Austrian culture. I would love to try some of these out. I love Pumpkin soup which we have a lot of here.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of pumpkin spice...but I do make some pretty awesome pumpkin spice cookies with cream cheese icing. I'm also part of the one percent of the population who doesn't like pumpkin pie. My go-to season is coming up with the peppermint!!
ReplyDeletePumpkin sounds nice as a flavour. Its not popular in Australia so I haven't tried it yet.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of pumpkin anything. When it's pumpkin season, I swap it out and put sweet potato. Now, trying to get it to become a trend will be another things. I make a mean sweet potato latte and it's so, so good.
ReplyDeletewow these are a lot of pumpkin spiced products. I would love to try the cheesecake and that pumkin spice frap :)
ReplyDeleteI recently tried pumpkin wheat crackers. They were only good with cheese.
ReplyDeleteTo be 100% honest, I'm not into pumpkin spice as much - BUT I made a delicious dessert treat at last year's Thanksgiving party that was a major HIT. Cool whip, pumpkin puree and cinnamon - dip apples in it. You'll love it.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of pumpkin spice, but I like those cream rolls. Those will taste heavenly with black coffee.
ReplyDeleteI don't tend to be big on the pumpkin spice flavours, I prefer homemade pumpkin pie. But some of these do look and sound pretty good, I just may have to try them
ReplyDeletei have been curious with this pumpkin spice flavor! maybe i'll start with oreo and starbucks one :)

ReplyDeleteWe don't have anything pumpkin spice here, so I legit had to google what "pumpkin spice" even is... I have to say that I'm glad that there's no pumpkin in pumpkin spice, like I tought, so the mix of spices actually sounds good
ReplyDeleteI love Pumpkin spice too but i prefer to make my own and make pumpkin pie, pumpkim maple loaf, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin baked oatmeal and im going to try to make Pumpkin spice hot chocolate this year, yes I just put it in everything i can :D

ReplyDeleteOh, I haven't tried pumpkin spice but I've seen so many posts about it. I will try it later.

ReplyDeleteI actually don't like Pumpkin Spice, eek! :) Don't hurt me! Great tip to not check the calories/serving sizes on ice cream though - that's good for any flavor! Erin at www.stayathomeyogi.com

ReplyDeleteOh man, I'm so glad to see that someone loves pumpkin spice as much as I do! I have tried a lot of those but not the Hershey kisses! I need to go find those!
ReplyDeleteI think I need to try most of these lol. I think the oreos might be a hit in my house.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't much of a fan of the pumpkin rolls from Little Debbie. I don't know why really. I may have to give them another go.
ReplyDeleteFall is here! I've been hearing a lot about pumpkin spice cream frapuccino and I've been meaning to taste it!
