On The Bippity Boppity Boutique At The Magic Kingdom

It was Natalie's birthday and I booked her an appointment at the Bippity Boppity Boutique in the Magic Kingdom.

She's done it before back in 2013.

In 2013, I paid for the entire package: she got to pick out a gown, a crown, and a wand.

This time I got cheap and only paid for the hair, nails, and makeup. (One reason? Natalie said the dress was itchy. She only wore it a few hours and then had to change.)

I made the appointment for 8, which meant we had to get up early in order to be there on time.

We were tired.

But Natalie was ready to get pampered.

The women who do the hair and makeup are called Fairy Godmothers In Training.

Natalie got to pick out the hairstyle she wanted. Naturally she picked the one with fake hair. I was hoping she'd go for the bun again because they get mini crowns and it's just precious....but Natalie wanted the fake hair.

She also got to pick out her makeup colors:

There is a PhotoPass photographer taking pictures of your child in case you are half asleep like I was. I managed to get some photos, but then I'd space out and be like, "Oh crap. Pictures!"

I am amazed how these women know how to do hair. I barely know how to do a proper ponytail but they can deal with any hair texture easily.

Something that I love about the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is they don't let the child see themselves until the very end. First they add sparkles to their head:

And then they turn the child around...

Natalie gasped. She went, "I love it!"

She continued with, "It's perfect!"

A mirror was brought out so she could see her face up close.

Then she was showed the back of her head. "I love this fake hair!" Natalie yelled.

Her expressions are why I fork over the money. The child also gets a sash, a bag, plus the leftover makeup and nail polish.

When your kid is done, the Photopass Photographer gives you a card with the photos. You can go to the store next door to put them on your Magic Band. If you lose the card, it's okay. Go to the town square building and give them the time when the Photopass Photographer started taking the photos and they can look them up. I DID lose the card. To this day I have no idea where it went, and I'm so grateful they were still able to find the pictures and put them on my Magic Band.

Oh, and if you feel your Fairy Godmother in Training did a good job, tip them. They appreciate it.

We went next door and you can get professional type photos done.

My recommendation? Do this for your child at least once!

  1. My daughter would be all over this! Can they do shorter hair? Or younger kids? We're going for her 4th birthday (Probably!)

  7. oh my god this is so precious! I heard about this and the first thing I asked was, "can adults do it too?!! I wanna be a Princess" (the kid in me, I'll never grow up) ...but sadly I was informed it was for kids only lol. I can't wait to do this for my little girl some day when she's a bit older (she's 1 1/2).

  10. I'm with you. At least once. Scarlet didn't ask for it and I was relieved. Not just because of the money (because money on a Disney vacation is just funny money, right??) but because I think every girl I saw who did it is MUCH more beautiful without makeup or fake hair.
That said, it's all about birthdays and celebrations and chances to do something special.

  14. Her little face is the cutest!! Our family that lives in Orlando does this all the time for their girls. I was considering doing it when we visit this year for Veronica's birthday!
